1 - How does the TopHotelDiscount on-line booking system work?
TopHotelDiscount is not a travel agency, we simply try to give the customer the opportunity of choosing a hotel, farm homes or B&B at at reduced rate and to book directly on-line.
2 - How much does it cost to use TopHotelDiscount for an on-line reservation?
There are no costs when using TopHotelDiscount. The booking service for our Users is completely free of charge.
3 - Should I be a registered user to make a reservation?
You can reserve without being a registered user. When you fill in the reservation form you should write your personal details and your Email. Then we send you your password by Email and consequently you can enter your Reserved Area and visualize or cancel your reservations.
4 - And if I lost the password?
You click on MY RESERVATIONS. You immediately visualize the login page, click on Forgotten your password and insert Email, which must be the same email through which you have reserved or registered, and we immediately send you the password again
5 - How is the request for an on-line reservation sent?
The Hotel receives an immediate confirmation for a Bed and Breakfast reservation and a request of reservation for half board or full board by email and by fax at the same time.
6 - Can the TopHotelDiscount staff make a reservation on my behalf?
Your request is sent directly to the hotel who processes it using the TopHotelDiscount system.
This system creates a direct contact between the hotel and the user.
7 - How long does it take the hotel to give an answer to my request for a reservation?
Two categories of reservation requests are possible:
- For reservations with immediate confirmation, you will receive an automatic email confirmation from the hotel.
- In case of reservations on request, you will receive an email message from the Hotel within 48 hours with the confirmation or declination of your request.
8 - How does the Hotel get in touch with me?
Through the email you have inserted when you registered. Your email address must be correct.
9 -How can I get in touch with the Hotel after having reserved?
You have to enter your Reserved Area ( click on MY RESERVATIONS) and in the reservation details page
you find an area where you can write directly to the Hotel by using our system.
10 - What is the cancellation policy  for the Hotel?
It indicates the period within is possible to cancel a reservation without incurring in penalties on the part of the hotel. Each hotel establishes its own cancellation policy which you can visualize before sending your reservation, and which is later included in the email which confirms your reservation. Usually, the hotel charges the first night in case of cancellation after the specified time limit or in case of no-show.
We advise you to read the cancellation policy of your reservation carefully in order to avoid eventual penalties on the part of the hotel.
11 - Can I make particular requests to the Hotel?
Yes, you can because when you fill in the form to reserve you find an area where you can write further notes or questions to the Hotel.
12 - Are taxes included in the booking fee?
Yes, they are included in the total price of the reservation as indicated by the TopHotelDiscount system.
13 - How can I control my reservations?
You click on MY RESERVATIONS after having inserted your email address and your password you enter your Reserved Area. At this point, it is possible to VISUALIZE or CANCEL your reservations, paying particular attention to the hotel’s cancellation policy.
The status of the booking can be as follows:
CONFIRMED: the reservation has been confirmed
REQUESTED: the reservation is waiting to be confirmed
WAITING FOR CONFIRMATION: The reservation on request has to be confirmed
CANCELLED BY THE CLIENT:: the client has cancelled the reservation
CANCELLED BY THE HOTEL: the hotel has cancelled the reservation ( for example due to an error in credit card details)
NO SHOW: The client has not shown up. In this case the Hotel could charge the amount as a penalty
14 - Can I modify my reservation?
It is not possible to modify a reservation. It is necessary to cancel the reservation and eventually make a new one.
15 - Are prices furtherly reduced for children?
If you choose half or full board, prices are always furtherly reduced for children. 0-2 years old children often sleep for free, if they are older, discounts are up to 60% compared with the adults prices.
16 - What does “Pay what you eat and sleep for free” mean?
It is referred to a very discounted price which several Hotels in TopHotelDiscount make in particular periods of the year.
In case of half board you pay breakfast and lunch and you sleep for free and in case of full board you pay breakfast, lunch and dinner and
you sleep for free. It is a very discounted price and consequently you have to pay even if you don't have lunch or dinner.
